Rising Above will have it's monthy service on November 15 at 6:00 pm at our new location, The River Community Church ministry center. The River building is located at 1200 Miracle Drive (take S. Willow over I-40, left on Green Gate, left on to Miracle Road) We are so excited about all the new classes and variety of activities for the kids and adults with special needs and their siblings.
The November service will be a celebration of our 3rd Anniversary. It will be an open house. Invite all your friends and anyone you can think of that might like to know more about Rising Above. Come and meet some of our families and learn about the exciting things God is doing in the Special Needs Community in the Upper Cumberland.
Events for Moms:
The Mom's Bible Study meets each Thursday at 9:00 am at the home of Dawn Fry, 411 Charleston Drive. For directions, please call Dawn at 526-4991.
Special Events:
The 2nd Annual Sock Hop will be held November 8th at 6pm at the Cookeville Community Center (next to Avery Trace Middle School).
Rising Above will have a Christmas Celebration and Dinner on December 20th at The River Community Church.
The next PARENT'S NIGHT OUT hosted by First United Methodist Church will be held on November 21 from 6-8pm. The theme is Artsy Kartsy, featuring drawing, painting and stamping, old time photography, cart races, and lots more.
